History

In 1991, Dave and Kay Hindman began the journey of a lifetime when they quit their jobs and formed World Radio Telecommunications by the Grace of God and His Word. At the time, they had one salesperson and one vehicle running service and installation for telephone line usage and business telephone systems in Steubenville, Ohio. Within the next 3 years, WRT began serving the tri-state area (OH-WV-PA) and incorporated in the state of Ohio in 1994. That year also marked the move to a new building where they established their presence in the Historically Registered building of the old Federal Courthouse and United States Post Office in downtown Steubenville.

WRT then launched a full-service Data Department in 1998 becoming a Dell Reseller and servicing and installing computers, servers, networks, routers/switches, and printers and much more. WRT also assists in building websites and hosts webmail.

In 2007, Dave and Kay acquired a full-service security business and incorporated it into Tri-State Security, also servicing the tri-state area and industrial/commercial/residential customers. TSS installs, services, and monitors security, fire, access control, and camera systems. TSS performs their service to high-standard quality work with all their technicians being certified in low-voltage electric work.

After 25 years of committed vision, purpose and a loyal staff, World Radio Telecommunications has grown into a One-Stop Shop for all of your business telecommunications needs along with secure protection services from Tri-State Security. The Hindman Family has poured a lot of blood, sweat and tears into this company now calling it the conglomerate Hindman Family Companies.

HFC operates its two companies with a fleet of 20 vehicles, 17 full-time service technicians and office staff in three separate locations serving over 5,000 customers.
